The foundation stone of Bella Hotel is placed 
This afternoon, the foundation stone of the coming building work of Bella Hotel was placed. The event was the first official performance for Lene Espersen, who is both new leader of the Conservatives and new minister of Economic and Business Affairs
It was four enthusiastic speakers, who were gathered at the festive event of placing the foundation stone of Bella Hotel at Bella Center on Wednesday the 17th of September 2008.
The Minster of Economic and Business Affairs Lene Espersen, Mayor of Technical and Environmental Commitee Klaus Bondam, CEO Arne Bang Mikkelsen and the chairman of the board Erik Bonnerup all had found the positive and optimistic tone in their welcome of Bella Hotel.
At her first official performance, Lene Espersen did not hesitate to praise Bella Center:
- I will like to make use of this occasion to praise Bella Center for their deci-sion of starting a building project of such great dimensions. It is not a secret that the economic outlook is not as good as it used to be. And it is no secret that the building industry is among the first ones to feel the economic recession.
And the new minister dared to pull out a character from the children's world:
- Those of you, who has small children as me, probably know Winnie the Pooh and not at least the wise words of Piglet that says it can be hard to have great courage, when you are a pretty small animal. I believe that the building project that Bella Center has started shows that there is a lot of courage to complete large building projects in Denmark in spite of the small size of our country. The very event of placing the foundation stone was conducted in a un-traditional way with hand-imprint from the four speakers on the cover of the 'future box' consisting of documents, drawings, images, press cutting etc.
The 'future box' will be cast down in the floor in the foyer of the largest hotel in Scandinavia and will be visible under a glass plate for the coming guests at the hotel.
