Moving on with the re-launching of the fashion fair in Bella Center
Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) had more than a good start with the first phase of the re-launching during fashion week. With 1,694 brands and 27,650 visitors, it was a good fashion fair in Bella Center. Gallery, in Forum Copenhagen also felt the optimism bubble with an increase in the number of visitors, in particular visitors from abroad.
Well begun is half done. An old truth that is a perfect fit for the first phase of the re-launching of CIFF in Bella Center.
"Our goal is for the fair to be a total experience for exhibitors and buyers. And we have had a really good start to the project," says Bolette Hvalsøe Olesen, the person responsible for CIFF in Bella Center.
Among other things, the re-launching offered two daily trend shows at CIFF and CIFFKIDS; more events, special exhibits and new catering with everything from Sticks 'n' Sushi, Kontra Kaffe and COFOCO to Bagel & Co.
"And we are most certainly not stopping here. We will continue to concept de-velop CIFF and we are already looking forward to the fair in August," says Bo-lette Hvalsøe Olesen.
This time, the work behind the re-launching of the fashion fair was more visible at the children's wear fair, CIFFKIDS. Here, the trend show, "Life Inside a Snowflake" attracted full houses and enthusiastic applause twice daily with mu-sic, dance and skating.
At Gallery, in Forum, a completely new energy was detected as well.
"The mood has simply turned. It has bubbled with optimism all week," explains Christian Gregersen, founder of Gallery.
Gallery had 12,400 visitors - a small advance of a couple of percent compared to February last year. CIFF and CIFFKIDS had 27,650 visitors - 7 percent fewer than February 2009.
